A unique location

Preston Place is the sole residential address on a 6km stretch of Darebin Creek’s western bank. The gently meandering creek will connect residents with significant nature reserves, wetlands, parks, playgrounds, sporting fields, golf courses, shopping, and La Trobe University.

Darebin Creek is an important tributary of Melbourne’s Yarra River that drains an area of 129 square kilometres of mostly rural land.

It flows south for approximately 50 kilometres from Whittlesea, through Darebin, Banyule and Yarra, until it meets the Yarra River at Alphington.

The Wurundjeri people are the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land we now call Darebin. The Woi-wurrung language group recognise six seasons on Country in Darebin. Here is what you can keep an eye out for throughout the year.
